Calling all water women! The Freeriders and Wallien are joining forces for an exclusive female downwinder along our Dutch coast. Pumping wind, waves kickers.. get ready for an unforgettable experience!

About the event
In partnership with Wallien, we organize an epic downwinder, along the Dutch Coast. It is a chance to meet more women in the sport, have fun in the water and win a Wallien Shorty Wetsuit! They have a stunning collection of springsuits & more!
When?
The wind window is from August the 27th to September the 17th. It will happen in the first weekend day with wind during that time frame.*
*Due to no wind luck within the wind window, we are extending to the following dates to maximize our chances of favorable conditions:
- Sept. 24th (Sunday)
- Oct. 8th (Sunday)
- Oct 14th (Saturday)
- Oct 15th (Sunday)
Where?
We are planning to do the downwinder from Egmond aan Zee to Wijk aan Zee (+/-18km). Start/End location is De HangOut.
The ticket includes:
- a bus ride to our starting location
- an entry for the final Wallien raffle
- a pizza and refresher afterwards at our homespot De HangOut
We will follow you along the way to ensure your safety and organize some checkpoints so you can have a break, and decide to stop/continue. Depending on the conditions we will find the best starting point & route for our downwinder, so sign up and stay tuned!
On D-Day, leave your bag with dry clothes (and nametag) and drop it on the bus. It will be waiting for you at the pick-up place. Change to dry and warm clothes when you arrive so you can enjoy an after-kite drink!
An email with all the information about the downwinder, the timetable, and the forecast will be sent to all participants shortly before the event, so make sure to add a valid email address upon registration.
**Not enough wind?
As a kitesurf community, The Freeriders depend on the wind and conditions. We have a wind window for this event, which means The Freeriders can cancel the event, in case the conditions are not good enough. You will receive an email at least 1 day before the event with a Freeriders coupon (no cashback-policy). Vouchers can be used for all Freeriders' activities and are valid for 1 year. It will be a lot more epic downwinders and events!
