Just a minute drive away from The Freeriders Villa, Big Bay is another popular spot, known for its safe, learner-friendly conditions. With vast sandy shores and a panoramic view of Table Mountain, it's a great place to ride the waves and enjoy the picturesque scenery. This is also a great spot to go surfing in the morning, when the wind is not showing herself yet.


Sunset Beach: Tranquil Sessions

Sunset Beach, as the name suggests, is ideal for sunset kitesurfing sessions. This tranquil spot is located a bit further south of The Freeriders Villa, offering an escape from the crowds and a peaceful environment to enjoy your time on the water.

A little over an hour's drive from Cape Town, Langebaan offers a serene escape from the city's buzz. This vast lagoon boasts shallow, flat waters, perfect for freestyle and beginners. The consistent winds make it an ideal spot to practice your moves and enjoy tranquil kitesurfing sessions. Close to Langebaan you have an amazing restaurant: Strandloper. You have to reserve upfront and you get what they serve (loads of fish) and it’s absolutely an amazing experience; Try it out!


Shark Bay (Langebaan): Windy adventures

Shark Bay in Langebaan is not known for its marine predators but for its kiteboarders.

It's the go-to spot for kiters who want to challenge themselves in strong winds and open but flat waters. If you want to change location and go for a flat wat experience, it’s nice o have a 2 day trip to Langebaan & Shark bay and enjoy a different place!

If you go to Witsand our advice is to make it a trip. It’s a 3 hours drive and you have some nice places where you can sleep.
