Trick Clinic w/ Sven Mekkelholt

Information

Wind window: 26 sep - 2 okt & 24 - 30 okt 2022

The main location is at De HangOut in Wijk aan Zee, but it is location independent, so if the wind shows up we will look at which spot looks best (depends on the wind direction).   

The day starts with a 15 minute briefing about the tricks and things everybody wants to learn or get better at. Then there is a 2 hour session, which includes training and private coaching with our newest communication systems. After you master your tricks, we will get changed and analyze the session. At last you can ask Sven everything about gear, safety, tricks or general things about kiting.

During the session there is also a camera to analyze the footage afterwards. Because the best way to learn is actually seeing yourself kitesurf!

Timetable: (1st clinic at 10 am / 2nd round at 14 pm / 3rd round at 18 pm)

9.45: Meet-Up @ Starting location

10.00: Tips & Tricks + getting ready

10.15: Actual trick clinic with lots of training

12.15: Done with the training and packing-up

12.30: After-sesh w/ evaluating the progression, analyze the footage and last questions  

*The time table shown above is an example for a time, starting time can be different depending on round (different times) or conditions (only wind at a specific time).

Gear info:

Make sure that you bring your own gear (information about gear sizes will be in the mail before the event) because we don't provide gear rentals! Also make sure your gear is checked and well prepared because switching gear takes up a lot of time. At last put a name sticker (KNRM provides them for free) on your board in case of losing it.

Who is Sven? 

Sven is a (young) enthusiastic kitesurfer that is slowly making a name in the kitesurfing scene. He travels a lot with his friends to train and kite for an upcoming competition: the Big air kite league. With his big-air skills he is definitely one of the best at our spot: Wijk aan Zee! **Not enough wind?

As a kitesurf community, The Freeriders depend on the wind and conditions. For this event, we have a wind window, which means The Freeriders can cancel the event, in case the conditions are not good enough. You will receive an email at least 1 day before the event with a Freeriders coupon (no cashback-policy). Coupons can be used for all Freeriders activities and are valid for 1 year. There will be a lot more epic trick clinics and other events!
